Before we get to the rest of the normal FAQ’s please take a few moments to check the content below - a few facts which should help imminently but if not please email us:

We ship from the UK – and we ship worldwide. Before ordering - Please check such research substances are legal to import into your country prior to ordering. This is not our responsibility, it is impossible for us to keep track of the importation laws in every country, so if you find you have ordered a product that is restricted to import and it is stopped by customs, we cannot take responsibility for this.

BREXIT – 1st Jan 2021 – We have been made aware of requirements regarding Brexit and how it may impact our business operations. We had been – for 4 months prior, completing e-customs forms when purchasing postal labels and while before this was optional it is now compulsory for all countries outside the UK. So, we have already got into the practice of completing such forms and have registered for our EORI number – the impact at present I expect to be minimal – a potential for prices of shipping and/or products to go up slightly – but where this can be negated it will be. At the time of writing this shortly before Brexit kicks off, there are no set indications as to how taxation will come into play for us and for other EU countries. Our process for countries outside the EU remains the same.

Our hours of operations are Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm UK GMT and Fri 9am-12pm UK GMT. Emails or calls sent after this time will be responded to Monday. At times, we can be extremely busy, so please read through the site info and your order status and if you still need help, please email us: support@peptex-labs.com – or our landline (+44) 01494 473371.

If you have been emailing, and received no response, it could be that your email has landed in our spam/junk box - please check this prior to calling or writing OR it could also be that we have received your email and replied but it has landed in your spam/junk box – so please double check.

We have a 48 hour turn around lead time on email - we apologise for the slight delay but as our reopening we are prioritising customer response times, and we aim to reply to all mail in 1 working day. Note - we do not answer calls over the weekend or on Fridays after 12pm, so please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you the next Business day.

One question we are often asked – genuinely – are we a real company? To confirm - yes, we are a 100% legitimate company, registered with companies’ house as a Limited Company in England, authorised to use Amazon Pay and other Merchants and unlike 99% of sketchy peptide sites, we test our products via a 3rd party, have a landline to call and welcome feedback of every type to help us improve and develop. Our company is a Limited company trading in England and Wales company number 11743599, MHRA Registration Number: C50864, and importantly Information Commissioner Office ICO registration number A8734582. When making a purchase from a scientific research company please always query if they are MHRA and ICO registered – as if not, both your health and data could be at risk.

We are passionate about the research field of Health and Life Sciences - that is what we are focused on and dictates what products we stock - our aim is to provide researchers with the best quality research products available and we go to great expense in doing so. Our company was born out of a passion to provide the industry with a solid, 100% reliable supplier of research material and relevant laboratory equipment and we continue to work towards this goal daily.

Pre Orders? What is this about?

We now offer all products (soon to add more) on a pre-order basis. Essentially what this means is if your order is in stock, we will dispatch it within 1-2 working days of receiving cleared payment. If it’s not, then we will custom order your peptides via our Laboratory facilities, have it synthesised and sent directly to us. This process can take 5-8 working days, so if your unhappy about this or if it does not fit with your timescales, please do not order. It will show at checkout if your chosen product is in stock or not, if not you have the choice not to order. We endeavour to fulfil all orders we receive ASAP.

What is a peptide?

Peptides are natural biological or artificially manufactured short chains of amino acid monomers linked by peptide bonds. The covalent chemical bonds are formed when the carboxyl group of one amino acid which reacts with the amino group of another. In a nutshell – peptides are amino acids, with shorter chain links and those amino acids with larger chains are defined as proteins.

Are they legal?

Peptides are where a huge chunk of pharmaceutical drugs are developed from – the starting point of essential research which then hopefully goes on to help humanity in some way. The legality aspect is dependant to the context in which they are used. For in-vitro, laboratory research use – which is what we stock and sell - they are entirely legal. For human use, while not directly illegal - as many individuals choose to self-research and we are supporters of self-research, but we are not legally able to advocate it, and so we would never advise using a peptide that is still in its developmental/trial stages – often there are times peptide study is pulled by Pharma companies due to the danger and risk to life that peptide may bring – please always complete your due diligence. All products we sell are for in-vitro laboratory research use only.

How long will take for my parcel to arrive?

This is dependent on when and where you have ordered from geographically speaking and payment method. For all customers – we typically process your payment and dispatch within 24-48 hours on business days only. For our international customers, it can take between 1-3 days for your payment to clear if paying by bank transfer, once confirmed however we always endeavour to ship your order within 24 hours or 1 business day. We accept Amazon Pay, BACS and Bitcoin which is a global and instant method of payment and one which we would advise our International customers to use where possible for its efficiency. If you choose to send by international bank transfer, please be aware that your bank may make a charge for such service and their foreign exchange rate may be different to the market rate – e.g., in the UK when we send an international bank transfer it costs us £15 each time and we then find the exchange rate is lower, so we have to send a further transfer to top it up! We have found using services such as WeTransfer and TransferWise (70% of our international clients use TransferWise and 9/10 funds are received by us on the same day)

We take pride in our rapid process and dispatch of all customer orders so as soon as we see your payment we process, pick, pack and dispatch your parcel the same day if before 13.00pm and the following working day if it’s received after this time. Note – we are not in any way affiliated with WeTransfer or TransferWise – we are relaying client feedback.

Do I need to sign for my parcel?

UK: We send parcels by Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded/Special Delivery and Royal Mail International Tracked. Both require a signature. If you do not want or are unable to sign for your package, please make a note in the comments section during checkout and we will send your order through either 1st Class regular post or if International 1st class airmail. Both do not require any signature however it also means packages cannot be tracked – once they leave the post office, we can provide proof of shipping, a reprint of the label, but that is it and it is for this reason we are unable to accept any loss for packages lost in transit which cannot be proven. We have now decided to take pictures of your parcel, pre and post shipping as further proof of dispatch.

EU/ROW: For countries outside the UK, we utilise Royal Mail International Signed For OR Royal Mail International Tracked – we use signed for by default, but if you want just Tracked – no signature – please put this in the comments section at checkout.

Express International Courier Shipments: If you have selected express courier, we will usually utilise DPD or DHL couriers. As such they require, your email, and phone number along with your full shipping address. So, if you choose this option, please ensure you put as much information down as possible, to prevent shipping delays. We update tracking when dispatched within 1 working day – and typically with both DPD and DHL to most EU and ROW (Rest of World) countries, arrival time is roughly 2-4 working days.

Where do you ship from?

All of our parcels are shipped from the UK, allowing prompt transit into Europe and Internationally. It also allows for extremely quick UK to UK delivery by Royal Mail as Special Delivery with Royal Mail are usually delivered within 24 hours before 1pm.

Do you ship discretely?

All of our orders are shipped with the essential requirements only – a shipping label which has our return address details, and customs document which is a legal requirement. When ordering peptides, we note shipments of HPLC autosampler bottles – which peptides are stored in, in their lyophilised state. We must also note the number of bottles ordered, and package weight. This is completed electronically, and also printed and applied to your parcel. Aside from the basic essential information required, no branding, large logo’s etc are indicated – we maintain professionalism at all times.

Some of my labels are different in colour and the lids are not always purple, why is this?

As of 1st January 2021, all labels will look the same aesthetically speaking. When we formed 3 years ago, we went through several differing types of label style, we have used our current label for the last 18 months and we are sticking by the design aesthetic, as we are with our SARM Labels/Diluent Labels etc.

Lid colour is dependent on batches and order volume. Our laboratory requires a minimum 500 unit per item order to produce custom lid colours, so on occasions where we may not need 500 items, they will send us the same product we ask for but with whatever label colour they may have to hand.

This is why sometimes the lids are different colours. Aesthetics aside, any peptides we purchase have to conform to a 99%+ minimum purity requirement, and we receive test data to verify this. We also provide and upload third party test data to further verify this.

Our focus is and has always been on quality and service. So please do not be alarmed if you get 2 products of the same type one week with different colour lids to the next week. It means zero, simply a newer/older batch and 99% of our batches we keep in stock are never kept in stock longer than 3 months.

How should I store and handle my peptides when they arrive?

When peptides are received, ensure they are kept in a cool, dark place. For best preservation, store them under refrigerated temperatures of 4°C or colder, away from bright light. Dry peptides are stable at room temperature for weeks to months, but for long term storage up to 4 years, -20°C is preferred - however DO NOT freeze/defrost and re-freeze. As a rule of thumb when you receive your order, please store in the fridge even before reconstitution. It is best to do everything possible to keep your peptide in the best possible condition.

How do I pay for my order?

At present, we accept bank transfer for all orders from all of our customers, including for our International Customers. Our account accepts payment from the UK, Europe and Worldwide. We also accept bitcoin and Amazon Pay which is our most popular option as it enables you to use your debit/credit card as you would if shopping on Amazon.

Please be careful to follow the on-screen payment instruction. Finally – please do not forget to hit that confirm order button at the very end of your order – many people miss this and their order goes into a missing order status, meaning we do not get any order info unless we manually check for such information. Any queries please email us: support@peptex-labs.com

I love your products and want to make a little extra cash by providing them to other researchers and clients I know will love them. Do you offer a commission/affiliate type scheme?

Yes, we do offer an affiliate scheme. To enrol, please scroll to the bottom of the home page and in the footer, please click the affiliate link and register from there but remember to ensure you carry out your due diligence on your future client base.

We pay out on the 1st day of every month - you can choose to be paid back by Bank Transfer or with Store Credit. Be sure to click the link on the home page, in the footer - 'Become an Affiliate' and enter the relevant data. We have some affiliates that do very well just by posting on forums with their affiliate code which is provided once we approve you – some sites run global affiliate links to help customers save money while they make money doing so. The amount you choose to make directly correlates to the work you put in. We pay a 10% standard commission fee inc. and for our larger affiliates, 15% - however we first discuss specific goals needed to obtain the higher level rate.

What postal method do you use? Can I choose a courier?

UK – Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For - for orders below £50, Special Delivery for orders above £50 in line with the RM tiered compensation scheme. For orders above £500+ we use DPD courier next day.

International – Royal Mail International Track and Sign or if no signature required, then just Royal Mail Tracked or if you do not want it tracked, then Royal Mail First Class International (as detailed above, please ensure you note this in your comments at checkout. For orders above £500 we use DPD courier or a courier of your choice – we will either telephone or email you to confirm arrangements prior to then shipping your parcel.

For International customers who would like their order delivered ASAP please select International Express Courier Option.

What do I need to mix/reconstitute my peptides with?

Without wishing to sound arrogant or pedantic in any way, if you are asking such a question, you should not be ordering Peptides or SARMS at this stage as you need a basic understanding of such things like dilution. However, for the most part Bacteriostatic Water or Acetic Acid are usually used, both are available in 2/10/20ml variants and various quantities on our website. The most popular option is Bacteriostatic Water which we sell in 10mland 20ml varieties. NOTE: IGF protein varieties need Acetic Acid as a diluent/reconstitution agent. We find for the vast majority of peptides we offer, the most popular diluting agent to be Bacteriostatic Water as it prolongs the active life of the peptide, provided it is kept at the right temperature when mixed.

What happens if customs seize my order?

Before ordering, please ensure you have checked the regulations with regards to the importation of your chosen products. We are unable to be held accountable if your goods are seized and they are not permitted in your country.

That said, if there is no issue and your order has been seized for other reasons, please contact us by email with proof of seizure (normally you would receive a seizure letter by post, so please scan/take a picture and email it to us) We will then make some checks with our Border Force and will do all we can to help resolve any issues – firstly clarifying the issue and then whether it be reshipping or offering a store credit – we aim to resolve any such situations to the full satisfaction of our customers.

We do provide a document within packages specifically for the intended countries Border Force/Customs Department in the case the pack is opened, specifying what the items are, that they are used strictly for in vitro laboratory research and investigatory purposes only and that they are not in any way intended for human consumption – we also send an attached COA as proof of product content.

However, if your pack is seized, and is known to be strictly illegal to import - even for research use, we cannot help but will look to do what we can to aid in recompense in whatever way – even though such orders should never be placed, we are all human, we all can make mistakes and so we will always help wherever possible.

Do you offer any refunds?

No - this is due to the nature of the product, its volatility and storage requirements. If we send something with a clear manufacturing or shipping error, then of course we will put this right but aside from this, we cannot offer a refund due to fragility of the nature of peptides. If your parcel came to you smashed, or heavily damaged, please immediately take pictures and send them to us – we will ensure we do what is needed to resolve any such situations asap.

Do you sell other products not listed on your site?

We work closely with our suppliers to provide the latest peptides, SARMS and Nootropic / research chemicals available.  We can offer a huge range of peptides, including cosmetic/beauty peptides and health and life science peptides, in a vast array of differing dosages so if there is anything you require but is not listed on our site, please contact us and we will make the relevant enquiries and do whatever we can to help you.

We are UK based, so we are subject to certain laws such as the psychoactive substances act, so there will be some products which we are not allowed to sell or even offer the supply of so please be mindful of this, however for our website stocked products we check legality before offering any such substances for sale. Our partner laboratory often custom synthesise peptides for us, providing you have the sequence needed to hand, and ideally the CAS if applicable and any other specifics you may need. The lead time for custom synthesis is 8-10 working days from payment received to us, and then the time frame noted above to get to you.

What are Peptex Laboratories Peptides Used For?

Peptides and Research serums are manufactured and sold to be used in a laboratory research setting. This can be through Educational, Research or even home researchers. None of our products are intended for, nor are they manufactured for, diagnostic or therapeutic purposes in humans. While we aim to in the future obtain the necessary licenses to supply human investigational peptides/pharmaceuticals, we do not have such a license to do so at present. Peptex Laboratories Ltd reserves the right to require additional verification of proper intent prior to fulfilling orders. Any orders that we feel aren’t for the specific intended purpose laid out in our Terms and Conditions will be denied.  With sincerity if you are asking this question, then you shouldn’t be ordering from Peptex Laboratories Ltd or any Peptide Supplier at all.

What are the purity levels of the peptides you sell?

Peptex Laboratories will never sell a peptide that is less than 98% in purity. Most of our smaller peptide chains are well into the 99%+ purity range. Our supplier has manufacturing abilities that are quite often beyond the scope of smaller companies and therefore are able to achieve very high purity levels. Proteins such as IGF-1 LR3 & DES are two peptides where we have not found a lab that can provide such a protein to us above 95% - in 3rd party testing we have achieved high 95 percentile range with results in 2020 of 95.9% and 95.8% during two phases of randomised third party testing - however with our GMP Vacuumed sealed receptor range in excess of 99%.

Purity of a peptide is determined by the amount of the target peptide by HPLC at 214nm. This is where the peptide bond absorbs. Residual salts and water will not be detected by UV Spectrophotometer. Impurities that are usually found after peptide synthesis may consist of deletion sequences, truncated sequences and de-protected sequences and some peptides may, due to their structural sequence, require additional preservative, so high 98%+ is what we aim for and never below this. We have uploaded third party testing, our own lab test results and even customers who have tested our products and sent us results which we then post with their permission. We try to be as transparent as possible and we feel the way forward is by openly publishing such results.

If A Peptide Is 98% In Purity, Then What Is the Remaining 2%?

The purity level indicated on a COA is simply a measurement of aminos that made it into the proper chain to form the peptide. The left over 2% are simply aminos that, for whatever reason, didn’t make it into the proper sequence or it means the peptide sequence required additional preservative by nature meaning it cannot be 100% pure – but in such cases we do our best to get to the magic  100% where possible.

Where do you source your products?

We work closely with our central laboratory which is based within the Europe and we work with a University within the UK who aid our testing as well as a new lab in Switzerland who will be testing our SARMS. We have used DGM In China for other tests where UK/EU companies couldn't support the testing of certain items due to the complexity of machinery needed or for legal reasons.

Obviously, we do not wish to disclose the specific location or names of our suppliers, as it took me (Dr Wade Ackley, Owner) a year of testing and trialling before finding the right partnerships and a 5 figure reduction in bank balance in doing so! We run a business based on the relationship we have built up with them and it would be fairly simple to work out the laboratories in question with some simple Googling, putting our profitability and therefore our business at risk. Our business is based around our supplier relationship, so we hope you understand our reasons for not being too specific.

All of our products go through HPLC chromatography and Mass spec analysis and our manufacturing facility is regulated by GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) and is ISO 9001 certified.

All products we receive come with a COA in advance and we conduct randomised, quarterly, third party testing to ensure we maintain the highest levels of quality and purity. All test results are then uploaded under the category Lab Tests which is openly available to view.

Can you offer bulk/wholesale deals?

Yes, please email wade@peptexlaboratories.com for a price list. We offer bulk prices on peptides and SARMS MOQ 150 units for both.

Is it true you sell on eBay and Amazon too?

We used to sell on both platforms but as of February 2020, we no longer sell our products on eBay platform, due to them not understanding what peptides are. We currently sell on Amazon; at the moment we are on a break as the site took all our listings down stating they were against policy – I pointed out their flawed argument and they conceded they were wrong. In November 2020 they then relisted all the items they took down, and with us using a specific email for Amazon for clarities sake and being told for the fourth time our products were illegal to sell, they then continued the listings as live until a friend phoned me and mentioned he saw one of our products come up on his recommended list. I promptly logged back in, fulfilled what was there and emailed asking if they can wipe any negative feedback or performance metrics from when they decided to relist, as we felt it unjust to be unaware and have this data go against us. We will be selling again on Amazon from 29/12/20 – and we have set up an email forwarder, so such info is not missed again, despite insistence on who was right/wrong.

Why do some peptides come in a puck shape and others look like loose powder?

Each aliquot of peptide is deposited into each vial via machine. The vial is then stoppered and moved inside the lyophilizer. Once in the lyophilizer, the vial is then given a nitrogen flush to clear any contaminates. This is the phase that will determine the appearance of the contents. Sometimes the water vapour can escape the vial where it goes from a solid to a gas without ever going through a liquid phase. This will and does make the contents adhere to the sides of the vial leaving very little to see by the naked eye aside from a smattering of wite powder within the vial.

Other times, depending on several other factors including temperature, the appearance can look like a solid puck, or a few smaller pucks, a powder material, or even just a few specks, but the amount of actual material and quality is the same. Please remember 5mg for example is 5 MILLIGRAMS - not grams - 5 mg is a tiny amount of visible powder to the eye, so if the vial does not look full for example, that does not mean the product does not contain what it should. 5mg would be akin to a few grains of table salt, as a generic example. People often confuse MCG/MG and G. Please do not make this mistake.

Furthermore, when freeze drying products without any matrix (sucrose or mannitol for example) sometimes the residual water of hydration will cause a collapse via hydration of the product before it fully dries. In other words, when the water from the ice crystals is removed what remains prior to secondary drying (when the chamber is warmed) can combine and solubilise the remaining material causing it to collapse. Sometimes it forms crystals and sometimes it forms films dependent upon how much there is local melting and what the temperature and vacuum levels are at the time of the collapse. I hope the information provided clarifies why peptides do not all look the same.

Why don’t you answer my emails?

We have had a battering of email issues in 2020 – something we took to the point of utilising an outside security company to set up our current mailboxes, which are run on our server and protected and monitored by them. If you have sent an email and not received a reply, please call the office, check your junk email just in case, or email me directly wade@peptex-labs.com and I will ensure I get back to you ASAP.
