SLEEPEX is a dietary supplement, designed to aid and support the quality of sleep. This product was born out of necessity for myself as the founder of Peptex. I have suffered from poor sleep for a long time and had tried every sleep product available. The hard stuff – the doctors prescribed Z-drugs, made me feel awful and groggy the next day. The OTC stuff like Nytol one a night, gave me restless leg syndrome. The stuff you find on Supermarket shelves, did nada.

I went back to basics – ensured that my seep hygiene ticked all the boxes, my nutrition was on point, my meals chosen and timed in a way to not disrupt sleep and aid it.

This helped, but to a small degree.

So, I researched online, spoke with various institutions including 2 certified specialised Doctors in the field of sleep and I created SLEEPEX.

The ingredient which appears to make the difference is Oryzanol, of which there is not much online but is well known to the Chinese as a remedy for sleep problems.

One study  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5452242/showed Our findings suggest that RBS may be a promising natural aid for relieving sleep problems.’

Oryzanol is better known for its help with reducing high cholesterol, heart disease prevention, assisting with menopausal symptoms and protection of ulcers.

User reports are scarce, with not many references, one I found which looked promising;

A patent application, which went into quite some detail regarding this supplement, detailed;

The present invention provides a novel use of gamma oryzanol as a histamine receptor antagonist. Gamma oryzanol is used as a natural antihistamine and can be used for preventing or treating allergic rhinitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, asthma, bronchitis, vomiting, stomach and duodenal ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux diseases, sleep disturbance, anxiety, and depression, and has the advantages of further reducing sleep latency, increasing sleep time, and increasing non-REM sleep time. Gamma oryzanol is a natural product derived from rice bran and does not cause side effects such as cognitive impairment, resistance, or dependence even after long-term use.

In addition to my own research, I created a balanced, unique product which contains:

·       Chamomile Powder 70mg

·       Jujube Seed Extract 250mg

·       Oryzanol 90mg

·       L-Tryptophan 100mg

·       Griffonia Seed Extract 95mg

·       L-Taurine 15mg

·       Zinc 15mg

·       Magnesium Oxide 250mg

The big question – does it work? For me personally – it does and has and is continuing to do so, but at 2 capsules. I do feel body weight affects dosage, the recommended dose is 1 capsule 30 mins before bed. For the 10 voluntary testers who have used this product – all have said that the product helped them fall asleep quicker (not an instant KO but a gradual feeling) and all felt their depth of sleep improved, without any grogginess the next day!

3 tracked their sleep with various gadgets and all 3 showed marked increases in deep sleep – the duration was much longer, and they felt fresher the next day.

The above is not to be taken as medical advice, but as information for educational purposes only and reflects only a small proportion of our internal investigation into the creation of this product.
